SHEA HAGY

Shea Hagy  is project manager, ecological designer, teacher and researcher with a MSc in Design for Sustainable Development. He has long experience in project management in the building sector, leading the design and construction of green buildings as a LEED AP. In recent years, he managed the creation of the HSB Living Lab, Chalmers’ 2013 entry in the Solar Decathlon China (Halo) and created and leads DARE to Build, a cross-disciplinary practice-based course at Chalmers University of Technology. Shea has been involved in research projects dealing with; Circular economy, analysis of wood value chains, development of next generation Living Labs and renovation of schools using prefabricated wood elements. Currently, he teaches three master’s level courses in the architecture program at Chalmers (Design and Planning for Social Inclusion, Reality Studio and The Beyond Sustainability crash course). His current research project ReCirculate focuses on circularity and the reuse of waste clay in the building industry.
